I’ve been a customer of Spice Garden for quite a number of years and it was during my first dining experience that ensured I returned again and again.
My reasons for visiting Spice Garden have been varied; with friends, Christmas meals with colleagues, and even dropped in on the hoof and each time have recieved a warm welcome, friendly service and fantastic food.
I’ve tried a number of dishes and haven’t not enjoyed any of them, but I do prefer my curries on the milder side. The food is cooked to order, the individual silver dishes are kept hot on tea light warmers, warm plates and starched handkerchiefs.
Spice Garden have undergone extensive renovations in the last few years, completely redesigning everything from their logo to the layout inside – so much so that any extising customer visiting the newly refurbished premises for the first time would be forgiven for thinking they had entered a different establishment.
The renovations have provided a modern, upbeat alternative to the traditional restaurant it once offered, with its open plan freshness, it now affords almost double the seating, with an additional function room for private parties. This function room is popular so booking at least 2 weeks beforehand is advisable.
I have never been disappointed with the service, the meals or any of the facilities in the relaxing ambience with subtle, modern lighting. The washroom facilites are kept scrupulously clean.
Spice Garden also offer an external catering service within a 5-mile radius.
View Spice Garden‘s varied and generous menu, available for eat in and take away, as well as a Sunday Buffet Lunch from 12-3pm, eat as much as you like for just £12.95 per adult.
Spice Garden themselves pride themselves on every aspect of their service, stating:
“In choosing Spice Garden, you have just paid us a huge compliment and set us the challenging task of living up to the high standards you would expect and deserve.
“Our menu offers a wide ranging diversity of contemporary Indian cuisine. Spice Garden prides itself in carefully selecting the most interesting and tasteful dishes from the gastronomic cradle of the Indian Subcontinent.
“Our dishes contain a riot of colours, aromas, tastes and textures in order to reflect the rich heritage and culture of the regions from which the foor originates. Rest assured, no effort would be spared in preparing the finest take-away Indian cuisine for the discerning customer.”
I can personally testify for the excellent accommodation service Spice Garden offers.

Very busy on the Saturday night we went. Food was really good, however, service was very rushed and not very attentive. Would go back for the Food though, just don’t expect too much good service!

Loved the Food, some great fish selection too. Lamb was delicious. I recommend this place as ideal for a date, not stuffy or old fashioned, but rather modern with subtle lighting.

Lovely decor, smashing Food, plenty of it could not fault it, but alas the service was terrible only 2 waiters walking the floor and 2 behind bar, therefore had to wait for drinks, Food, and then bill, shame.

Spice Garden in Eastbourne is a great venue for dining with friends. Went on a Saturday night – it was busy and buzzing and fun was had by all. I would recommend it as the dishs were delicious (tasty and not oily)! We even bumped into friends who were getting a take-away and highly recommended the restaurant.

Not up to its usual high standards – perhaps because it was a larger group – but the Spice Garden still provided an enjoyable evening!

Spice Garden – Eastbourne. Myself and my wife visited the spice garden for an evening meal. The moment we pulled up in the taxi it looked like a really nice restaurant. We walked through the door and had the most pleasant evening, the service, the Food and the ambience was top rate. The inside of the restaurant was fantastic, it is the first time we have visited the restaurant and if we are ever in the area again we will definately pop back in for another meal. I would recommend this place to all

Spice Garden is a comfortable modern style Indian restaurant. The Food is good, portions are adequate but not generous, prices are reasonable. Staff are very solicitous.

As always, The Spice Garden lives up to its reputation as the best curry house in Eastbourne! Delicious Food, although the portions seem to have shrunk a little since the revamp, great service and good atmosphere.

The Spice Garden offers a more up market Indian meal in pleasant surroundings with attentive staff. The Food was of a high standard but the rice portions were small.

Spice Garden is a popular Indian Restaurant that serves tasty good quality Food. Certain items on the menu were a bit pricey. The biryani was around £12, so we decided against this. The portion of pilau rice was £2.50, which is not expensive but the portion was small. Overall, the food, service and ambience was good, and I would recommend this restaurant. It is not the best value for money, but if you choose carefully, you can keep the price down.

Spice Garden is truely an excellent restaurant, despite it being a busy Saturday evening and booked to capacity the service and Food were top notch. The ambience is lovely, the modernisation of the restaurant really is a credit to them. Will go back very regularly!

We have visited the Spice Garden many times before, but this was the first time since its refurbishment, the quality of Food and service have always been excellent, but the ambiance was better than with the new decor. One small critism, the house wine choices could be reviewed.

Newly refurbished, the Spice Garden never fails to impress. Excellent service is combined with delicious Food, and the new look interior is a definate improvement. The menu has a wide range of choices, the karahi chicken being a particular favourite.
