A new lounge has been added to the Railway Station at Eastbourne, offering first class facilities to waiting customers.
The spacious lounge boasts laminate flooring, flat screen TV, four comfortable leather sofas with tables and plants and an additional children’s area.
Situated within the main station concourse, rail announcements can still be heard from the lounge with newly fitted addtional screens outside the doors. Eastbourne Train Station is also lucky enough, as it is the terminus, to have large bright windows, showing the waiting and arriving trains.
The lounge is clean, bright, comfortable, quiet and warm. Most of all it is also stress-free, up to date and affords plenty of space for luggage.
I would recommend the new waiting lounge, which is approximately a 40′ walk to the terminal, ensuring you don’t miss your vital connection, rather than the cold platforms, especially at this time of the year.
Such a wonderful benefit to the town and the station, but it’s nice to leave the place as you would expect to find it!
